Technically easy cycling trail that suits everyone, but expect that the hundred meters of altitude can be felt.
From Nyhyttan, you start with a solid warm-up up the gravel slopes before the path turns into nice singletrack. After only a few hundred meters you see the first mine and then the iron and copper mines succeed each other. The bridge across the Koppargruvsmossen is wide enough for most to keep their balance. After the trail, you drive downhill again on wide forest roads past Dammsjön, where you will also find a nice rest area with a fireplace.
About Nyhyttan
Nyhyttan is beautifully located on the hill above the river Rastälven in the heart of Bergslagen. The small village has been embraced by the Adventist community since the turn of the last century. During the 1970-80s, Nyhyttan had developed into a modern rehab and health center and many of the paths that have now become MTB paths come from that time.
